RSS Feeds

Looking for an easy way to keep up with the news and updates on this site without having to come back repeatedly to check if something has been updated? All you have to do is choose one (or all) of the feeds available for subscription. If you’re not familiar with RSS feeds and how they work, I’ve also included an explanation on what it is and how to read feeds further down below.

The Available RSS Feeds

Note: Due to hotlinking being disabled on Colorfilter.net, images may not display properly or at all on RSS feeds. I’m very sorry for the inconvenience. I’m trying to figure out a way to solve this, but until then, there’s not much I can do because disabling hotlinking is crucial for this site.

  • Colorfilter.net Updates and News Feed - This feed includes all the site news and update notes that I make whenever something new is added to the site.
  • Téa’s Musings - This is a full entry feed for the musings blog posts and nothing else.
  • Colorfilter.net Tutorials - This is a partial feed only for the tutorial posts and nothing else. If you don’t care for the general site news and updates but still want the tutorials, you can choose this feed.
  • Téa’s Musings via LiveJournal - For those from Livejournal who are interested in the blog posts, you can friend this LJ syndication and view the posts via your Friends page too.

What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) gives you an easy way to receive new updates and content from websites that you subscribe to without having to visit the actual site to constantly check for updates. So instead of having to come here all the time, you can be informed of my updates via “feeds” as soon as the moment I make them.

How do I begin reading these feeds?

All you would need is an RSS reader, which will check the websites you’ve subscribed to and then inform you once there’s new content available. There are many online services available from sites that you might already have accounts with, such as Google, My Yahoo, and My AOL. A fairly popular choice for an online service is Bloglines, so you can also check that out.

There are also many applications available for reading feeds if that’s what you prefer. Mac users can try out NetNewsWire, NewsFire, or NewMacPro. Alternately, you can also read feeds from your browser with Safari RSS.

If you’re a Windows user, you can check out FeedDemon, NewsGator, or FeedReader.

Firefox users can also download extensions such as Sage or Lektora in order to read RSS feeds via your browser.
